Lucky Enough To Find The One

Isn’t it weird to think about how there could be one person out there in the world who can make you short of breath, makes your heart skip a beat, who makes reality better then any dream you could possibly have, and make every other cliche about love actually mean something; That one person out there can make you fall in love?

Maybe you’re with this person right now. Maybe you’re crushing on this person at this very moment. Maybe that person is still out there awaiting the time until you finally meet. Or maybe you’re thinking about this person as you’re reading these words.

Isn’t odd it odd how we willingly give up our hearts leaving us in a state of vulnerability just because you know somehow that you can trust them with it? That this is the one person who can make you feel like no one else can, like every moment spent with them is more incredible then the last. Can you even begin to comprehend how unbelievable it is how one other person can be all you think about, who makes you feel on top of the world, safe when you’re in their arms and makes you believe that in the end, you can get through anything because you have them in your life?

And when you meet this person who you fall deeply in love with, then it’s hard to imagine how anyone else in this world can or will ever make you feel the way they do. How they make you laugh, how they make you smile, and how they become a part of you that you will never willingly let go. When you’re with them, you can’t help but believe in love and fate that you found this person out of 7 billion people in this world. That you were lucky enough to find the one.

We’re Suppose To Have Tomorrow.

We’re suppose to have tomorrow. To wake up in the morning and have a second chance on everything that we have forgotten, were too lazy, or too scared to have done the day before.

Maybe we have taken today for granted, expecting that there is guarantee of tomorrow in a world filled with uncertainty. But what guarantee is there that you’ll have tomorrow to tell someone you love them? Or to tell someone you’re proud of them? Tell me, can you be sure that you’ll have tomorrow to say you’re sorry, to take a unbelievable risk, or just to live life for one last time?

We’re suppose to have a tomorrow, but life doesn't always give us what we want as it robs us of tomorrow. So take advantage of right now, and do everything and anything while you still have the chance too.

Fighting With The Ones We Love

Have you ever fought with someone that you loved before? Have you ever lost someone you truly care about because of that fight? And haven’t you ever question how one fight could break apart a relationship or a friendship that once seemed capable to withstand the test of time?

It’s crazy to think how we can let our pride or stupidity destroy something that meant so much to us. It’s even crazier that in the midst of an argument how much we seem to forget every memory or feelings ever shared; that we trick ourselves that life would be so much better if that other person just wasn't part of our lives.

And as quick as a flash of lighting, something so magnificent and beautiful if destroyed because of one fight, leaving behind only memories of what has been and what could of been. What remains after the destruction are questions of what if. What if one of you said sorry, one of you swallowed their pride, or one of you just didn't get caught up in the moment and remembered what the other person truly meant to them before the fight? What if…would they still be part of your life right now?

Giving Your Heart Away.

It’s odd isn’t it, how the most amazing and comforting feeling of love can also be so terrifying and leave you in a state vulnerability to the person you entrust with your heart. And in this one moment when you decide to give your heart to someone, you give them this titanic power to dictate your emotions, to make you smile on days when you just want to cry, to be jealous when you try hard not to be, to make you breakdown in tears when they do you wrong, and to make the most scared you have ever been in life that they could steal your heart and walk out of your life, or even worst, they could shatter your heart in to a thousand pieces causing a pain like no other.

In the end, it all comes down to one thing: trusting another soul to protect and not hurt your heart even when they have the ability too. And some of you who are reading these very words might be thinking, whether of thinking back to past relationships or seeing it from other people or how you’re feeling right now, how there must be a lot of untrustworthy people in this world to account for the countless broken hearts and tears caused by love.

But I think it’s actually cause even though we feel like the person we love can do no wrong, we forget they are human and are bound to make mistakes no matter how careful they are not to. So when you’re giving your heart with someone, just trust them to hold on to it as tight as they can. You’re heart could get some bumps and bruises and it could get hurt, but no relationship is ever made to perfection and it’s hard to not crack something so fragile. So have faith in love and in the person you love. Most importantly, trust yourself that the reason you’re giving your heart away is because that one person was already deemed worth it to give your all too; so don’t easily give up on them when they make a couple of mistakes. And if your heart does break, never be afraid to one day give your heart to someone else who will put the pieces of your heart back to get and protect it.

And also remember, even though it’s scary giving your heart away, the other person is probably just scared giving theirs to you as well. So be courageous to give part of you to someone else, because believe me when I say love is worth the risk.

Goodbye

As much as we hate it, there are many moments in our lives where we find ourselves having to say goodbye. We say goodbye to friends and people we once knew, goodbye to places that were a huge part of our lives like high school or neighborhoods that go hand in hand with our childhood, goodbye to people we loved and whose existence was once the reason your heart was beating, goodbye to people we were close to as death decided it was their time, and even goodbye to the person we once were.

As summer becomes fall, and fall becomes winter, and winter to spring back to summer again year after year, changes continually occur that we forces us to say that dreaded word of goodbye whether or not we are ready too leave what we had behind.

And the worst part of it all, is there are many times where we don’t really realize that we are in the midst of saying goodbye until after the moment has past and it has become a memory. I mean, think back to the last time you had to say goodbye to someone or something….at those moments it had to be surreal and some part of you didn’t want it to end…and you couldn’t believe it was ending. It was only after it all, looking back at everything, you realized a chapter of your life had finally come to a close and you were already part of a new beginning.

But what I guess I’m trying to say, is to never take any moment, any person, or anything for granted because there might be a time when you’ll have to say goodbye even when you’re not ready or expecting it. And as depressing as goodbyes are, just remember nothing really is gone because they’re a part of you through memories you keep and ingrained in who you are as a person because everything you had to say goodbye to helped you become who you are. So remember that after every goodbye, make sure you are ready to say hello to what the rest of your life brings you.

It's easy to be afraid of love

To be afraid of all the uncertainty of it all. To let down your all shields and guards to someone and leaving you in a state of vulnerability for them to steal or shatter your heart in a million pieces. You’re essentially blindly jumping off a cliff as your fall deeply in love with someone just hoping that they will be in the bottom to catch you before you hit the ground hurt and alone.

In all senses, love can be compared to an act of insanity to openly walk towards the risk of feeling an indescribable pain and sadness. But with so many people taking the risk every second of every day, it’s hard to imagine any worth it more then love. We risk ourselves from being hurt, even more then once, not because we like feeling this pain, but because we have faith that one day someone out there will be there to remind you why it was all worth it.

Sometimes

Sometimes, I wish that I knew what I looked like through your eyes. I wish that I could read your thoughts to know if you ever think about me as much as I think about you. I even wonder if you’re even scared to lose me; if you care about me at all or just taking me for granted in your life.

Sometimes, I wish it could be as easy as just looking into your eyes and to know how you feel about me. I want to know if all these sleepless nights and over thinking is worth it. I want to know if you’re worth it or if I’m just living in a fantasy.

And sometimes, I wish you could read my mind to know what I’m too scared to say. To see what you would do if you knew what went through my head each day. To see if you would even care at all.

Lost In The Shuffle.

Don’t we all sometimes have this feeling like we’re just lost within this complex maze called life without a compass or a map for direction. I have. It’s like I’m still trying to find my place in this world when everyone seems to know who they are and where they belong. In some ways, it’s as if everyone else were given manuals on how to get through each day and someone misplaced the copy that was suppose to be given to me.

And each day it’s as if we fighting a battle alone to not get lost in the shuffle of life. But I think a lot of people feel this way. Life is confusing and it’s tough to understand the complexity of it all..to know what the right choices are, to know if you’re taking the right path, and to even understand why we were even placed in this world. But chances are, over 7 billion people feel that they are the only one lost in this world. Reality is, we’re all trying to find our ways through life with every other person.

A Moment Frozen in Time

There are moments in your life which can only be described as perfect. These are the moments that you wish were frozen in time, unable to be tainted by the cruelty and sadness this world has to offer.

And when the perfection of a moment passes, it feels as if you lost it forever and in turn, lost part of yourself. And there’s nothing scarier then thinking you’ll never find your way back to it. The reality is that a clock will still tick each second and that one moment you hold so dearly to your heart will not remain. And if life teaches you anything, you’ll learn that you will still face hardships, tears, and other moments you will wish that you can erase as you long to go back in time to that one moment where everything seemed right.

But we can’t hide from life, because eventually we’re all going to have to leave it. And as perfect as a moment is, don’t be afraid to let it go and face the world and move forward in this treacherous journey of life. As appealing it is to have that one moment where life made sense and beautiful frozen in time, remember that there are more ‘perfect’ moments lying ahead waiting for you…to overcome the challenges of life to make each moment worth it.
